Douthat Lake Run Cruise-In: On Saturday, May 17, 2008, come out to Douthat State Park Beach Complex to enjoy a night of fun and beach music. From 5-7 pm show off your skills and sing along with your favorite tunes. Then from 7-10 pm enjoy the smooth beach sounds of the Steve Largo Band. Bring your lawn chair or a blanket to the shores of the lake. All vehicles registered for Sunday’s Show will receive one free entry ticket to the Cruise-In. So, come on out for a night of fun with the entire family.


Douthat Lake Run Car Show: On Sunday, May 18, 2008, get in gear and join us for a day of fun in the sun with hundreds of show cars at the Douthat Lake Run Car Show. An exciting afternoon including games, music and the Big Country 101 Prize Wheel is planned. Show participants need to stop by the Park’s Main Office between 8 am and noon to receive their registration number and a goody bag. Then they can proceed to the rinse off station before proceeding on to the show lot.


Car Show Registration: The Douthat Lake Run Car Show will be held from noon until 5 pm on May 18, 2008. Advanced registration will be accepted through May 17, 2008. Advanced registration is $13 per vehicle. Registration the day of the show is $15 per vehicle and will be available at 8 am and will remain until noon on Sunday, May 18, 2008. The first 175 entrants will receive dash plaques.


Directions to show area at Douthat Beach Complex:
From East or West - Take Interstate 64 to Exit 27. Turn onto Route 629 North. Follow the signs to the park.

From South - Take 220 North to Route 629 North. Follow the signs to the park.
