The Douthat Art & Craft Fair is an educational program offered to highlight crafters and artisans for park guests and community members. However, the event also serves to educate attendees on the various techniques involved in creating many of the items. Last year we were fortunate to have a wide variety of crafters and artisans participate. From broom makers to floral arrangers, from wood workers to basket weavers, many were able to demonstrate their craft for the guests.

This year we ask that participating crafters, if possible, demonstrate their talent to craft fair attendees. If you are unable to demonstrate your craft during the fair, we ask that you will be willing to speak to attendees about your craft or possibly display your craft in various stages of completion.

It is the sincere hope of the park staff that through this demonstration we will educate individuals on what many folks consider a dying art.
